Skin Care in the Kitchen

Honey

There is so much talk out there about natural ingredients. There are so many kitchen fixes for many beauty problems that have fantastic results. Here are a few you may have heard of:

Let’s talk about coffee- fresh grounds are high in antioxidants. When absorbed into the skin it halts the breakdown of collagen. Mix ½ cup of coffee grounds with 3 tablespoons of unrefined coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of raw sugar. Apply to wet skin in a circular motion and leave on for 5-15 minutes. Anti aging mask in minutes!

Parsley is high in vitamin C which brightens the skin. It is also high in vitamin K which is good for circulation. Mix a bunch of parsley and 3 tablespoons of yogurt with the juice of one lemon into a blender- this will create a paste. Apply under your eyes and let sit for 10 minutes. Works well on dark circles and under eye puffiness.

Last but not least we have heard of all the benefits of raw honey. It is antibacterial and antifungal which draws impurities out of the skin. Mix it with some rye flour which has anti-inflammatory properties and you have a great detoxifying mask. Mix ½ teaspoon of raw honey with ½ teaspoon of rye flour with a drop of water to make a paste, apply to your face in a thin coat let sit for 5 minutes.

Natural ingredients can be fun and beneficial so keep mixing and enjoy.
